About Me

I'm the proud parent of three children in Los Alamos Public Schools, and I see first hand the struggles educators, parents, and students face. I support providing resources for our children to thrive in an evolving education environment and to listen to the needs of our whole district. Please support me in the upcoming election for School Board District 2.

As a parent and active member of the community, I have consistently volunteered to help whenever I can. As Assistant Coach for the Lego Robotics League at Chamisa, it was highlighted to me just how influential adult members of the community can be in the lives and general outlook of the children.

As a parent volunteer in the classroom, it was vitally important to me to help the teacher in any way they needed. In some instances, it would be guiding reading activities, while they ran a separate lesson, or in others it was ensuring the children stayed on task and understood the lesson fully. This was a lesson for me in just how much support the teachers need when there is more than one lesson needed.

As a supporter and volunteer for the Chamisa PTO, it has become clear how not only the families and educators need help, but the district itself. Through various fundraising initiatives, we have been able to provide some vital financial aid.

My Goals As School Board Representative

    • Increasing the pay of all educators. With an increase in pay, comes a decrease in stresses that take away from the capacity of an educator to be fully present.

    • Ensure a safe and inclusive education environment for all students. When a student feels safe and accepted, they will perform better. They will be happier, and they will learn to accept others as well.

    • Utilize my experience as a hiring manager to secure a Superintendent who will fit the needs and align with the mission of LAPS.
